Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 2018-2020 Dengtao Yang is a professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University since September 2020. He received his B. S. in Chemistry and B. Eng. in Computer Science from Lanzhou University in 2010. After he obtained his M. S. in Organic Chemistry from the same university in 2013, he moved to Canada and joined Prof. Suning Wang group at Queen’s University pursuing his PhD degree (2013-2017), focusing on organoboron chemistry and boron-based luminescent materials. He continued his research in the same group as a research associate until he joined Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT as a postdoc associate (advisor: Karthish Manthiram) in 2018, where he changed his research interest to electrochemical conversion of carbon dioxide. Dengtao has been recognized with several awards, including Chemical Communications Emerging Investigators (2023), Journal of Materials Chemistry C Emerging Investigators (2022), Aoxiang Oversea Scholar (2020), The “Sciences Outstanding Thesis” of Queen’s University (2018), Organizing Committee of Boron in the Americas XV (BORAM XV) (2016), The Outstanding Graduates of Lanzhou University (2010), Chun-Tsung Scholar (2009). |
